As 2012 comes to a close, we at Red Circle want to recap on our first year as a foundation.
Every American has become all too aware of the changing landscape of warfare. The inescapable reality is that, with the decrease in conventional forces, more and more covert missions are being deemed necessary to defend our freedoms.
American Special Operations Forces (SOF) are increasingly being called upon to conduct these crucial missions in the face of overwhelming odds. As our armed forces adjust to the new face of unconventional warfare, it is inevitable that the families of SOF will be touched by tragedy, a fact substantiated time and again by events that affected the SOF community in 2012.
At Red Circle Foundation, we endeavor to assist these families in their times of need with immediate relief. Unfortunately, although the government and other foundations provide some relief to these families, it is often delayed by months or even years, when what they need is immediate relief. We also recognize that many SOF families are in need of educational assistance for their children.
It is with these goals in mind that we aspire to develop our cause. We will host several events in 2013 to raise awareness and funding for these families.
